Attendance

Maintaining a high attendance rate correlates very closely to individuals achieving their potential. At CSC we have high expectations of students being at school every day. In the event your child is absent, please call CSC on 5479 1150 by 9.00am in order update our records and advise teaching and integration staff.

Families can also assist CSC in monitoring and planning for absenteeism by:

• Providing CSC with a note to explain absenteeism, particularly for extended periods away, in which case a medical certificate should also be supplied.
• Reminding students who are arriving late or leaving early to use the XUNO kiosk located in Reception, to ensure all students can be accounted for at all times.
• Noting that senior students who have study periods are required to use the library, senior study area or learning spaces within their precinct and be marked present by the supervising staff.
• Communicating any planned extended holidays during the term to CSC Reception staff and appropriate mentor teacher in advance, allowing teachers to provide appropriate work or modifications to student assessment.
