Regular communication is an essential part of connecting with our students, staff, families and community partners to build the CSC community.
To maintain an ongoing and informative communications with our school community, we have established a number of ways to share information, foster close relationships, and provide opportunities for families to partner with us in their child’s learning. These include:

Email for detailed information on CSC events, processes, policies and activities in letters, notices and newsletters.
If you would prefer to receive this information as hard copies through the post, please notify CSC via email: email@example.com . Please note time crucial information may not always get to you in time via this method.
Telephone calls from CSC staff members to family contacts to provide or obtain important information in relation to your child/children.
Face to face conversations between CSC staff members and families for Mentor Day, Parent, Student and Teacher Conference and Pathways meetings and other family information evenings.
The communication tools we use
CSC newsletter for families to stay up to date with school news and key events or activities.
CSC News is published online once per term and contains information on upcoming whole-school, year-level and community events. It also celebrates student learning and achievements, provides updates on school direction and policies, including a report from the principal and community notices.
Families are sent a link to the latest newsletter via XUNO or they can click on the link on the home page of this website.
XUNO is an online system that connects students, families and CSC. Via XUNO families can book Parent-Teacher meetings and have access to your students’ timetable, student reports and absence details. You will also be able to communicate to your child’s teachers via an internal message system. Log-in details are provided to families at the start of each year. If you are having difficulty logging on, please call 5479 1111 or email 8824-ICT@schools.vic.edu.au
How families can communicate with CSC
Your child’s mentor teacher is your main go-to person at CSC. Due to teaching commitments, the best way to contact him or her is via email. If you did not attend a Mentor Day meeting at the beginning of the year to meet your child’s mentor, please phone CSC on 5479 1111 to ask for the mentor’s email address. Otherwise, please leave a message with your name, your child’s name, the mentor teacher’s name (if you know it), your phone number and the best time to call.
Other key contacts at CSC include:
- Reception, for enrolment appointments or school tours with Martin Mielemaka, Assistant Principal or Justin Hird, Acting Principal
- Ruth McNamara, Transitions Coordinator for Grade 6 to Year 7 students
- Karen Burton, Family Finance Manager to organise payment plans, CentrePay and Camps and Excursion Funds (CSEF).
All of these people can be contacted via the main CSC number 5479 1111.
